How It Works
1. Choose a few good photos of your pet (see information below for good photos)
2. Decide on the size of your portrait
12 x 12 = $297 plus shipping and handling
16 x 20 = $447 plus shipping and handling
3. Email your commission form along with your pet’s photos
4. Once a photo is decided on, an invoice for 50% payment will be sent
5. Once payment is received, I will confirm your order and give you an estimated completion date. It takes me approximately 2 weeks to complete an original piece
6. Once I start your commission, I will contact you if any further details on your pet’s portrait are needed
7. Once I start your portrait, I will keep you updated on its progress
8. Once the portrait is finished, a second invoice for the remaining payment will be sent
9. Once I receive full payment, your portrait will be mailed
Tips for photographing your pet:
Relax and be patient, your animal can read your emotions
Be quiet and move slowly
Go to them…get down on their level
Let your pet get comfortable with the camera
Turn off flash
Use natural light if possible: shoot were the light is the best
Take lots of pictures
Focus on the eyes and expression
Enlist help (someone behind you with a treat)
Photograph them in “their comfort zone” i.e., after eating, at bed time, quiet moments when they’re at ease
If all else fails, try a selfie! Pose with your pet instead of forcing them to pose for you
